Is Active Water Sports opening a shop in Redmond?

YES! We are excited to open our first ever Central Oregon location this fall. Located at 1598 S. Hwy 97 (across from Redmond Safeway) AWS Redmond will offer boat sales, service, storage, and a beautiful pro shop.

I’ve never heard of AWS before..

Active Water Sports started on the banks of Lake Mayfield in the early 80’s. Owner Warren Freece offered waterski lessons to the locals, and a limited amount of inventory out of his ski shack on shore. Within just a few short years AWS opened its first brick-and-mortar in Beaverton, OR, offering boat sales and a much larger pro shop stocked with cutting edge ski and wake gear. Fast forward 40 years and Active Water Sports is Oregon’s #1 towboat dealer; our three Willamette Valley locations offer boat sales for 6 of the best brands in the industry, pro shops, service departments, storage facilities, and even a full online retailer with a warehouse in Portland. AWS is proud of its accomplishments, but even more excited to offer its services to the Central Oregon community. We’ll see you soon!

Is AWS Redmond currently open?

Yes and no. We started construction on our Redmond facility July 5th, so for the next couple months customers will not be able to shop at our location. However, we are fully operational for remote boat sales and service. Contact us if you have questions on either.

Can I buy or service a boat at AWS Redmond RIGHT NOW?

Yes, absolutely. Even though we are in a transitional period AWS Redmond currently offers boat sales for Malibu Boats, Axis Wake, and Barletta Pontoons, as well as our full pre-owned inventory. We can also schedule your boat for service!

What about pro shop?

Although we don’t currently have a pro shop set up, we offer our full pro shop inventory to our Central Oregon customers via activewake.com. Here you can shop any boards or parts AWS offers and have them quickly shipped over the hill.

Well, when will AWS Redmond officially open?

Since we are in the early stages of construction, there is no official opening date for our Redmond location, however, we plan to be fully operational by early fall. Don’t worry, you’ll get an invite to our GRAND OPENING!
